Established in 1991, the Korea Sexual Violence Relief
Center (KSVRC), âis a women's activist organization that aims to
reveal the nature of sexual violence as a structural problem
caused by power relations between genders.â
They have established a womenâs shelter for sexual violence
survivors called Yeolimeto, or âopen groundâ in
Korean. Since 1994, this facility has served as a long-term
shelter for up to 10 people regardless of age.
In 1997, the KSVRC also established a research institute called
Ulim, which is a Korean word that describes
âresonance.â It âadvances anti-sexual violence theory and
analyzes laws, policy, and culture related to sexual violence
based on the data and experience accumulated by the KSVRC⌠Ulim
conducts various research projects in order to correct common
misconceptions about gender and develop new discourses on the
issue of sexual violence.â

Donations made to the KSVRC are used to, âprovide counseling,
legal assistance, and recovery programs for survivors. Donations
also contribute to policy monitoring and evaluation projects,
along with our diverse gender equality campaignsâ

NSVRC is a nonprofit organization in the United States that provides information

âEvery April, NSVRC leads Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a campaign to
educate and engage the public in addressing this widespread issue. NSVRC is also
one of the three founding organizations of RALIANCE, a national, collaborative
initiative dedicated to ending sexual violence in one generation."
Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)
RAINN is a large anti-sexual violence organization in the United States who
operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) with âmore than
1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates
the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out
programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators
are brought to justice.â
Established in 1999, The Korea Foundation for Women (KFW) became the first independent non-profit womenâs foundation in Korea. This organization aims toâŚ

The KFW has assisted women with everyday necessities,
health care fees, emergency loans, and has even helped
marriage migrant women to settle into their second homes.

The Korea Foundation for Women does not mention a direct place to donate to on their English website but they have highlighted their ways of receiving donations from Korea and the campaigns they run to raise money for their cause.
100 Leadersâ Relay Donation Campaign aims to raise
awareness of gender equality and womenâs rights. The
campaign starts on the first day of April when 100 leaders
start to donate. Each leader is followed by a new donor the
next day, and each of the new donors is followed by another
donor the following day. The relay ends on April 30, with a
total of 3,000 donors. Since 2003, it has become one of the
KFWâs most representative fundraising campaigns.
SOS (Save Our Safety) Campaign is to make a society
where women and children are safe by preventing violence
against them.
Children-to-Children Fund aims to support children in
Asia and Africa who cannot afford to complete school due to
economic hardship. It is formed by donations of children under
the age of 19 which are equally matched by adultsâ donations.
1% Giving Campaign is a fundraising program where
individual donors can collect extra coins in a coin bank
or donate a small fraction of their monthly income or
nherited property, including publication loyalties for
writers and performance revenue for artists. Individuals
may also donate in celebration of a special day, such as
their babyâs 100th-day celebration, birthday or wedding
anniversary. Individuals may donate their talents as well.
Entitled Funds are created by individuals,
corporations or groups who donate under a specific name
and/or purpose.
Corporate Designated Fund is a popular form of corporate donation or social contribution, which supports woman NGOsâ activities designated by the donor. This kind of designated fund supports more than 80% of all the grants made by the KFW.
Workplace Sharing is a 1% income-sharing scheme. Employees donate 1% of their income every month and their employers match every won they give.
Entitled Funds are established when corporations designate specific beneficiaries with specific purposes.
Special Corporate Funds are created by any private corporation or social organization under a specific name and/or purpose.
